Solutions Bejot

The genuine ergonomic chair adapts to the sitting person’s movements.  It is so elastic that it supports the spine at any moment. But this is not the end. The sitting person should be provoked to change the sitting posture from time to time, i.e. he/she should sit dynamically and  - thanks to using modern technologies - in a biodynamic way.

Dynamic sitting - the sitting person frequently changes the sitting posture and the spine constantly contacts the backrest of the armchair.  It ensures that spinal column-stabilising muscles do not get tired quickly as the pressure on intervertebral discs is reduced.

Therefore, when choosing the armchair, do not just take its design and aesthetics into consideration, but draw attention to the armchair equipment. An ergonomic armchair should be equipped with mechanisms that allow the armchair to adjust to your body’s anthropometric characteristics.

Biodynamic sitting - means sitting on the movable surface in all three directions.   The seat moves together with the moved vertical gravity of the sitting person.   In order to allow the biodynamic sitting, it is not enough to change the seat with the lever. Since the seat must consider the entire spectrum of the human movement and provide the body with the three-dimensional platform, on which it is possible to smoothly perform all natural and three-dimensional movement processes.  Sitting biodynamically means sitting in a way that protects the discs.

By affecting the discs, the pressure is oscillatorily spread out over the entire surface of the disc. At that time the individual sectors of the disc are loaded and relieved alternately.

When arranging your workplace, consider the kind of your work and individual parameters of your body.

Adjustable height and seat depth

Adjustable height and seat depth

The fundamental element of the armchair is the adjustment of the seat height that allows the armchair height to be adjusted to the individual parameters of your body and the height of your desk.    The armchair seat should be properly profiled and the front edge of the seat should be rounded to ensure the comfort of sitting for long working hours. The proper depth of the seat ensures the support from two-thirds  to three-fourths of your thighs.  If the seat is too short, it can be adjusted through purchasing the armchair with the adjustment of the seat
Adjustable armrests and lumbar support

Adjustable armrests and lumbar support

Adjust the armrests in a way that ensures the obtuse angle between your shoulder and forearm.

At any moment the backrest, especially its lumbar region, should contact your back.   The healthiest is the seat with the backrest inclined at 115°.

Seat depth adjustment

The proper depth of the seat ensures the support from two-thirds  to three-fourths of your thighs and the distance between the edges of the armchair and the knee flexion should be 1-2 cm.

Modern Synchronous Mechanism

Modern Synchronous Mechanism

You should realize that the long sitting posture may adversely affect your health. However, it is possible to effectively prevent such situation by choosing the armchair equipped with a modern synchro mechanism that ensures the so-called dynamic sitting, mainly through the synchronization of the inclination movement of the backrest and the seat, the option to fix the backrest in some positions and the in-built spring that adjusts the pressure force. The various settings ensure that the chair users of different weight and height feel comfortable.
